so this has been in the works for almost 3 months now and getting real close to being done....this is the rifle the day I took it apart...

this is it waiting for the action and barrel which is supposed to be ready this week....

specs...
XLR evolution folder chassis..
savage PTA trued and timed..
PTG bolt body and bolt head..
glades armory bolt handle..
NSS nut and lug trued..
bratlein R-5 heavy varmint 1-8 chambered in 260rem with a reamer set to my specs from PT&G...will be finished at 26 or 28" haven't made up my mind yet but most likely 26"...
JP enterprise re-coil eliminator..
rifle basix SAV-2..
harris 6-9 swivel bipod..
murphy precision 20moa base...

scope showed up yesterday
vortex gen2 EBR-C2 in moa and ARC M10 rings..

well its finally together...BUT...as my luck would have it it was not a drop in fit....ill get back to this after i shoot it sunday....very happy with with the work the smith did...now if this thing shoots as good as it looks....

That really looks sharp. The contrast from the armor black and stainless steel is awesome.

Curious about it not being drop-in fit with the chassis. Hope you give XLR some feedback regarding that situation.

Definitely hope as well it shoots as well as it looks. It is really stellar looking.

First issue was the rifle basix trigger was hitting the front of the trigger opening...the other issue was the tang was not floated....its all fixed as of 630 this evening.
I spoke with Nick at XLR this afternoon for about 15mins and they want pictures before and after as well as aproximitly how much material was removed to correct those issues...he wanted me to send it back but that wasnt happening after almost 4mos of waiting on this build lol.

As am i....the high M10s are the perfect fit for the evolution with a 56mm objective...ive used a few high end rings and will only use the ARCs after seing how easy it was to set my scope up with them.
The gen 2 is Fn awesome...the EBR-C2 is fantastic....functional but not overly cludered or distracting...ill have no problem getting use to it.
