Hi guys, I bought a sweet, new to me model 10 in 308. The previous owner put it in a Boyds forest camo thumb hole stock. I'm trying to figure out what model 10 it is. It has a 20 inch heavy barrel, not threaded, oversize factory bolt handle and accu trigger. At first I thought it was a model 10pc but the original owner said it didn't have the accu stock. Here are a couple pics, it has his scope and bipod which I didn't get with the rifle.

And even better, here is how it shot on my first day of load development. I started at 42 and went to 44 grains of varget in .5 Grain increments. I loaded five shots at each weight. Shot at 100 yards off front and rear sandbags. 43.5 was by far my best charge weight. The first four shots made the big hole, then I got excited and pulled my last shot. Have I ever mentioned that I love savage rifles and their accuracy.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and figure out what model my new baby is. Cheers
Jesse

Go to the savage arms web site and look up the PARTS FINDER feature. Type in the serial number.

I hate it when that happens.
You've just sent 4 rounds and cant believe how good the pattern looks then you become nervous about sending that last 5th round.

I have my Model 10 FCP-HS dialed in with 44.0 grs of Varget.
What bullet are you using?

Good deal Jessie. Keep shooting them tight groups.
