Removing rotary mag

I have several 99s but have never taken a spool out. I was gifted an H model and it is pretty dirty, I am having second thoughts about taking the spool out to clean it, any advice? The rifle is a 303 and came with five boxes of ammo. Can't wait to try some cast boolits, the bore is very good.

See the 2nd Sticky up above all the other posts -- I used that info to clean up mine and it worked out well.

Just follow along with that and you should be OK.
