Got a Savage 112bvss in .300 win mag, heavy fluted barrel, and am doing load development. I want to take advantage of some heavy VLD bullets, but the maximum mag length will not allow me to seat them out to where I get decent accuracy. Could I get a longer mag box and shorten the feed ramp? I have also considered a detachable mag setup and am just wondering if anyone could shed light on my options
