Does anybody have one of the SAVAGE 96699 93R17FVSR 17HMR Threaded fvsr rifles?

I just ordered one because it looks as if it fits my needs.

16 inch threaded bbl and with an EGR picatinny one piece scope base included. Accutrigger. Price was right.

Opinions???

You mean this sexy little thing?

It's very similar to the 93R17 TRR-SR

That would be the one. Anybody here own one? What are the impressions. I am not finding reviews online. My research tells me it is exactly what I want. I had a CZ 455 one time, but the trigger was nasty. I know the Savage trigger is very nice.

I had a Weaver Grand Slam 2-10 scope itching for a rifle. Can't wait to try this baby out.

I'm looking at this, too...

One question: What's the relatively short barrel going to mean for accuracy?

Everything I know about guns and physics tells me that a short heavy barrel would be ideal, and there's virtually no velocity gain from .17HMR with a longer barrel, but then I see everybody using 20-22" barrels...
