I have been sitting on this rifle for about a year and decided to use it again. I've just shot Hornady factory loads to break in the barrel. I'm wondering if someone can give me recommended loads for these components..... 39 gr Sierra Blitz Kings over Varget? I don't have any H335 (that was recommended to me) but I do have the Varget so any help will be appreciated.

Hodgdon.com
Nosler.com
Or any one of a mountain of good reloading manuals.
Mass produced rifles have a range of tolerances acceptable to leave the factory. None of us know what YOUR rifle is, nor would we know what it prefers; you have to find that out for yourself.

None of my 204's like being pushed hard & fast, not for best accuracy. Be aware of Varget in the 204, the coatings tend to accumulate hard Carbon fouling very quickly.

I never tried Varget in my 204 but I had excellent results using CFE223 and AA2230 with 39 gr Sierra BKs. Both would do five shot groups in the .3s at 100 yards.

If you are on Facebook check out the .204 Ruger Room page, it's a lot more active than 204ruger.com. I've seen a few guys swear that you can't go with a bad load with Varget and 39gn Sierra's. I've had good luck with them loaded .010" off the lands and 8208 XBR.

Max load of H4895, BR4 primer, and 39 blitz king is a sweet shooting load in many rifles. Fast and accurate.

I have used 32VMAX and BLc-2 in several 204 rifles I have and have had. The only other bullet I used is Mid-South 35 gr.

H4895, 34 grain Nosler dogtown is a fine combo.
