26 nosler barrel information

I have a friend that asked me if you could build a 26 nosler on a small shank savage (or even a large shank)
I could not give him the answer as I am not familiar with the round
Any input would be appreciated

Folks on this forum are building rifles with cartridges very similar to the 26 Nosler that duplicate the velocity. Any long action savage rifle can easily handle that round.
