Started working up a load today for .243 68gr. Berger's with RL15 starting charge and loaded 3 .005 from the land's. Had a 1.5 3 shot spread. Pulled up a Sierra pdf file for the 243 [ been meaning to purchase one just hadn't got around to it ] and looked at their accuracy load; 33.8 H322 @3100, matched up the RL15 37.7@3100 and also matched their COAL, which was .070 from my land's, and loaded 3. Shot a .324, thought it was a fluke and loaded 5 and shot a .814. Just wondering if anybody else has tried this. First time I thought about doing it, did save some powder and bullet's.
Powder /Velocity 3000 3100 3200 3300 3400
RL-15 36.6 37.7 38.8 39.9
Accuracy Load H322 33.8 3100 1600

R u jumping 1.1 grains on your load workups?

In 204/223 sized cases, 0.1 increments.

243/308...0.3 increments

'06 family - 0.4 to 0.5 (depending on burn rate of powder), then narrow down from there.

Mags - 0.5 increments.

Yeah...it takes time, but it is worth it.

Yeah, that's how I alway's work up load's, not done with this one yet. Just really blew my mind how accurate the Sierra load was. I've lucked out on first time accuracy before but never from a book load. This was new brass also.
