I cut the barrel to 20", re-crowned it and put it in a home dipped accustock I had laying around.

Yeah, I'm kinda waiting for a good sale or rebate on the FV12 as well, but not expecting it to happen.

I got a BPS flyer in the mail with a BPS/Cabelas exclusive on a Model 110 Tatical Hunter, 308 & 6.5CM at $499, originally $799. Anyone handled this model and thoughts??

I saw that same flyer and it appears to be the same rifle that was out a couple of years ago, I'm guessing as a distributor exclusive, branded as the 10TR. There was a smokin deal on them at the time (mine was $400) but they only came in .308 with 20"or 24" barrels to my knowledge.

I just got my Cabela's/Bass Pro Black Friday flyer in the mail today.

No Savage 10FV to be found. I'm bummed. Was really looking to pick up at least one.

There's a 22" Axis with 3-9x40 scope for the "Lowest price Ever!" of $299.97 - $60 Rebate = $239.97 on Black Friday 6 hour sale, 5-11am on the 23rd.

Also a Savage 110 Engage Hunter XP package for $529.97 - 10% rebate = $476.97. Looks like it's available in store and online Nov 21-25.

That's it for Savages. I didn't find much exciting during a quick look through the whole flyer.

It doesnt look like we will get rebates this year. Hopefully they still do the black friday sale on them.

I went back and saw a rebate tag on the 12FV at Bass Pro. Looks like there is a $60 rebate valid through December 2, 2018.

Cabela's also seems to have dropped the price of the 12FV in .204 Ruger to $335.99. So $275.99 after Rebate. 20% off gift cards could bring that down to $220.79. Actually, $208.79 because you get a $60 rebate on $60 x 80% = $48 net cost.

I might have to start playing around with .204 Ruger. Or get my first match grade barrel.

SVMgiftcards on eBay doesn't have a 15-20% off sale now on Cabela's cards, but Raise.com is selling BPS e-gift cards at 9.3% off and Cabela's at 7.2% off. You can take another 4% off (Max $10) with code SALUTE. That's almost 13% off the Bass Pro cards. $335.99 x 87.12% = $292.55 -$60 = $232.55 for the .204 Ruger.

Tax is not included in any calculations, but otherwise I THINK they are correct.

Hopefully some other calibers will go on sale before the 2nd of December.

Cabela's is dying a slow and agonizing death now that Bass Pro owns them. BPS is dumping more and more of the Cabela's branded product and replacing it with the lower quality BPS and Redhead branded products. I imagine it won't be too long before they do away with the Cabela's brand all together and convert all the stores over to Bass Pro's.

I went ahead and got another FV12 in 22-250 the other day, was $420+tax in N GA.

I saw an ad 2x the other night on one of the financial/business channels. BPS was advertising 1st class office space in Sydney for $1.00/yr. Showed the interior and exterior of one building, was probably the Cabelas corporate headquarters, everything was gone, no phones, no nothing on the desks.

"Purchase any Savage® 12FV and get a $60 rebate." I literally copied and pasted that from the rebate form.

That being said, it is the same promo number as the $60 Axis/Trophy Hunter rebate (https://promotions.vistaoutdoor.com/Content/images/promotions/NBYHNA9GTV6ZW5Z41X00D49EWR4GE6ME.pdf), PROMO # R9840. Except for the first line, the verbiage on the forms is identical as far as I can tell. The QR code in the top left is the same as well. ("W1760|4009|R9840") in the off chance you actually care.

Maybe they forgot to change the promo number on the 12FV rebate, but otherwise the terms are the same.

I know rebates are a PITA, but you should be okay as long as you don't also buy an extra three AXIS or Trophy Hunter XP packages. That's usually good advice even if there isn't a competing rebate involved. :cool: :p

The rebates are all done through Vista Outdoors and they were very easy to work with on the last buying stampede we all had. Everything could be done online and by taking pictures of everything. It does take some time, but you *will* get your money.

I have a FV12 in 204R already, got it a couple yrs ago when the sales & rebates were better (before the merger). I have 3 Fv12's now, probably should have gotten the 6.5CM as well but something else caught my eye at the store so....

I hate BassPro that is why I didnt bother to click the link. I went to Savage and Vista, I hate to try and convince them that a store "said" there is a rebate... I did 4 rebate with them last year. Without a black Friday sale I dont think its worth it for me.
