So I picked up my Model 11 Trophy Hunter XP in 6.5 creedmoor a few weeks ago and finally got it out to the range today. Already replaced the scope from the stock nikon to a PA 4-14

Had 3 different factory loads. 120gr amax (mostly this so it's what I used for zeroing,) 140gr amax, and 129gr sst. Put 40 rounds of the 120 and 8 rounds each of the other two downrange. Here are the last targets for the day.

That's the last 3 rounds of 120 and all rounds of the other two. I was trying for grouping, so my process was to fire about 1 round per minute per group, and wait 10 minutes between groupings to let the barrel cool down. All targets are at 100 yards off a bench using a bipod and extremely cheap rear bag. I tried originally using a front bag, but the one I had was so cheap and low it didn't work. I think the final group from the 120 is a little better than normal for this rifle (.37moa) but I definitely think if j do my part (which I feel I probably wasn't for some of these groups) the rifle can definitely be a half moa shooter.

Strange thing I noticed though is that it doesn't seam to like the 140gr amax. I'm probably going to start with that the next time I go out, but I was really disappointed with it. Could just be me though. I did wait tk fire the other 2 loads until after I fired 40 rounds of the 120, and I'd been at the outdoor range for 3 hours in 90 degree heat. Just something I need to keep in mind though. I'd like to get my hands on some of the winchester 6.5cm 140gr to test it out, but no where local carries it.

All in all, I'm very pleases with the rifle, and I know it will do nothing but get better as j get better.

Now to get myself a new stock so I don't have tk worry about whether using the bipod is hurting my groups...
