I do exclusively bench rest shooting. I currently use a low profile Savage 22 250 varmint rifle. I have enjoyed great results using hand loads with 69 grain Sierra TMK bullets out to 1000 yards. I am shopping for another rifle. My considerations are between two Savage rifles. Either a Savage 6 mm Bench Rest or a Model 10 BA in 308 caliber. I shoot a lot of 500 yard steel, but intend to begin shooting greater distances regularly. I know the 6 mm is deadly accurate, but I really like the look and caliber of the 10 BA. What type of accuracy experience does anyone have shooting the 10 BA at distances between 500 and 1100 yards?
