Decided to upload some pictures of a target stand I came up with a year or two ago. It's made from pre cut Lowes rebar and turnbuckles. It completely breaks down and will fit in a tiny trunk. Thus far it has taken hundreds of rounds of 300 win mag as close as 200 without issue on hard and soft surfaces. It has only minor wear from shrapnel as well.

Assembly starts with the third picture. As long as you have the turnbuckles and rebar like this it will be very stable with all the tension holding up the top bar.

Based on what i paid for those things 25 years ago, id say (somebody) is paying 20/25 bucks apeice for them.

Thank you for sharing the photos. I have been looking for a light weight way to hang my targets. This will work perfect. On my way to home depot right now.

Yeah, but if you befriend a realtor they will usually give you their old rusty ones or at minimum sell them to you for just a couple bucks and they're a lot more durable than the cheap plastic target stands MTM and the like have available.
