Ok so a bunch of us have built some pretty interesting rigs from modified factory parts, factory parts from the classifieds and elsewhere and hardware store stock. Basically leftovers and takeoffs,
They run the spectrum in looks and functionality. So lets see them, As always sharing a brief description to keep the creativity flowing is cool.
I'll start.

Here's an old flatback in 25-06 I did for my youngest son as his first deer rifle many years ago. I picked it up on going out of business clearance from a local shop. It had a wood stock and a lawyer trigger in it and they were the first things to go. It has a tuned up 3 screw from a 116 in it now (vendor here) and a gray Stevens" tupperware" stock(classifieds) now bedded with JB Weld. The paint is rustoleum camo, brown, khaki, and OD green layers scratched back through with feathered edges on the scratches to the original gray. It gives it a pretty convincing tree bark pattern.
It's a real sleeper spray painted "rat rig" that is stupid accurate with RL22 and shocks most folks that shoot it or see it shoot.

It isn't a savage but it is definitely a rat rig. Here is one of my tractor guns. It's a rossi 22-250 we cut down to 16.25. I did a trigger job on it and painted it to keep it from rusting. It makes for a good club as well.

Dual purpose I like it. You could probably start fires with it too. :)

Here's a little lefty beater rat rig carbine I did with some factory takeoff parts from the classifieds here ( Stock, DBM, barrel) few items from the hardware store, and some stuff I had laying around in my shop. (I did have the barrel threaded professionally) I like it a LOT more than I ever thought I would. it's 37" long and great for the farm or just kicking around the woods. Sometimes spare junk just goes together well :)
