View Full Version : Question about Boyd's stocks?

I have an Axis Heavy Barrel in 308. It is a right hand action. I shoot left handed.

I'd like a Boyd's stock. The thumbhole is out because of my crossed-up configuration. I looked at the standard monte carlo style, and would prefer not to have that big cheek weld bump on the wrong side.
Other than the tacticool (which I assume is one of their heavier stocks), what other styles do they have that are more cross-hand friendly? I'd like something lighter, as I do plan to do some hunting with this rifle.

TIA

I am same. "Classic" or "Platinum". If you want checkerring, platinum offers better wrap around checkerring.

Looking at Boyds website they carry most of their stocks in left hand with right hand action. Looking at their pictures the thumbhole and cheekwelds are on the proper side for a left handed shooter on a right hand rifle

You can probably find what you're looking for here, but they only sell unfinished stocks. The up side is you can get cheek pads on both sides along with many custom modifications to suit your needs. Down side, it's going to take 8 weeks to make it. So you'll have nice winters project to finish, bed and pillar it, what's wrong with THAT?

Order soon and you will have it for Christmas and can then go to work on it.
