Finally got around to trying some of the Nosler 180 gr. Ballistic Tips (Factory Seconds) I got back in March. I don't understand why Nosler discontinued these - unless it was too much expansion when loaded in .338 Winchester Magnums. Maybe the .338 Federal wasn't around then...

I was using the Ballistic Tips to fireform some Remington brass and they worked out pretty well accuracy wise. The ogive is slightly different from the 180 gr AccuBond so I just loaded for magazine function (about .043 jump to the lands). Best five shot group at 100 yards measured 0.679 inches. Didn't have time to do much shooting but maybe this weekend I can start working with the Hornady 200 gr. SST too.
