That looks like fun! I'm digging the silhouettes (not to mention the space to shoot!). Thanks LongRange for sharing!

Looks like a blast, our local club is trying to get the range moved to a new property and setup for 1000 yard varmint shoots. We're supposed to get rolling on the 500 again soon.

They also hold F FTR matches 1000 and 600...pistol matches....50BMG matches....the range is about 30-40 minute from my house...my range is 10 minutes from my house lol...i drive across the highway and about 6 mins im shooting...a few more minutes a little farther back and distance is basically unlimited 5-6000yds....gotta love the desert ;)

Man I just shot a 29 in the local VS match, but all those guys were shooting bench rest style, while I was shooting prone w/ bipod and bag. I also didn't take any sighters. Our longest line was 600yd prairie dogs, but the targets are definitely unforgiving in the winds produced in the valley.

We all shoot prone off bipods or field packs no front rests or artificial rear support...they do let the older guys, ppl with back or medical issues shoot off the benches but the same rules apply.
The ROs cut sighters for the top three classes this year and i think it was a good thing. We get some really crazy winds out there...today at the start i held 1.5moa left and was still 6" right at the 420 line and the next shot at the 650 yote i held dead center and hit him in the neck (10" left)...lm going to plan some time off and try to get down and shoot with you cali guys...SO CAL is a little far but NOR CAL is only a few hours from me...im just outside of reno.

Sweet. If you would like to hit up NCSA Pala for the monthly long range steel match I'd love to hang out and chat it up. Real good group of guys and a few gals.

when is that match LW?

i found their site and have a few question you might be able to answer...it says 109g bullets max? if thats the case i may have to wait until i get my short action up and running as i have WAY to much free bore to run light bullets.

also 4 minutes for 5 rounds? can i take a nap in between strings LOL!!

awesome looking club and i will definitely make it down there!!

it will be october or november before i can make a match down there...i need to wait until things slow down a little at work and get my short action rebuild done...im going to try and get a hold dave at PT&G today and order a reamer...im thinking im going to go .004 over virgin lapua brass for the body and .295 on the neck and then have a nice FL die made to my reamer/chamber.
