Hey guys

i am looking at buying my buddy's savage 111 .338lapua with a 4-16x50 millett scope and bipod
i was looking for accessories for this gun and I can't find anything. I would like to make it more tactical looking and was wondering if you could fill me in on which stocks would fit the 111 model.

Dom,

Your options with the .338 LM are going to be very limited. You'll either have to go with a high end chassis system like XLR Industries (I think they make one that would fit) or get a custom inletted stock from Manners or McMillan. Either way you are going to end up spending between $700 and $1,000.

One other thing you might try.....savage makes the 110 FCP in 338 LM that comes in a nice HS Precision Stock. I can't see where HSP sells this stock anywhere....but Savage might sell you one. It should fit.

Good luck!

Most limited on stocks....and that's because the 338LM is a super long action. What other accessories are you looking for?

I was looking for rails and such. What do they have besides mags? Maybe a new muzzle break

If you want to go with rails the chassis is your best bet.....

I I was thinking something like this. A rail to extend over the barrel

Form follows function. Outside of a "functional" barreled action, stock, muzzle break, scope and mounting hardware what else does the rifle need. You can do a better trigger, a better bipod,.... What else do you need? Maybe low T?

Seriously. That rail is to mount 20,000 dollars worth of FLIR.

Oh wow. That's overkill

i just like that top rail where it ends above the stock and wraps around the barrel. Just wanting to see if anyone offers one like that

Guessing there isn't a rail like that that covers the barrel

You mean a MIRS? You can get one but they're not exactly cheap...

Yeah you'd have to do a rem/age build if you wanted to go with the MIRS.

There are other companies that make a similar (smaller) mount. I'm sure you could make them work with a little luck with stock design and some ingenuity.

The rails your looking for are traditionally used for night vision enhancements. Give google a try. I've seen some pieces that could possibly be made to work.
