I looked through many pages did not see one. Is there 1 "master" post/thread about SAVAGE 93r17 ammo likes? i know all like diff stuff but wanted to see what other guns like. Mostly for longer ranges up to 3-400 yrds but down to 100yrds.

Such a thread would ultimately be pointless as every barrel is going to have it's own preference. There's only a handful or so options for 17HMR ammo so it's not like you have to wade through a sea of options, and given that it's relatively cheap it's not going to break the bank to try a few different types that are readily available to you.

For the range you're wanting to shoot you'll probably want to stick to the V-max bullets for their slightly higher B.C.

^ thats my point of this. I never see remmy or federal or fmj cci ammo near me. Wondering if worth the hunt to find and try

My barrel prefers the CCI TNT 17gr HP shooting that into sub inch groups at 100 and 150 yards. It groups just a tad over 2" at 200 yards and drops 3" from a 100 yard zero.

Word is that CCI makes most, if not all, the ammo for 17HMR. I've done well with the Federal HP out of my 93R17.
