Hi ya'll fairly new here and I have a question.. How do you tell if you have a small shank or large shank on the model 110...Sorry to be so dense but new at this...

If you have a large shank barrel, it will have a shoulder at the chamber area that steps down. The small shank barrel is smooth in front of the threads all the way to the muzzle.

This is true with the exception of the heavy bull barrels, which will not have the shoulder.

You can also measure the length of your barrel nut. A large shank is 5/8" long and a small shank is 7/8" long. As you can see in the link, it is also visibly different.
