Wondering for those who have used Talley Lightweight mounts how you like or liked them? First go around with these and was wondering what the general consensus was? I haven't shot this rig yet. Hogged out the forestock with my dremel and epoxied an aluminum rod to stiffen up the forend and completed a new paint job then installed the mounts. Will be doing some load development very soon. Its a .308 Win.

Talley lightweights are great rings. I have them on my wife's Savage 243.

Love em as well. I gave them a test run on my Savage 14 250 Savage. Hooked and plan to use them on all my other rifles going forward. Solid foundation with fewer moving parts than traditional base and rings. Not sure how well they would fit a long action Savage. They usually require rails or bases that hang over the bolt a tad in order fit most scopes. Maybe flipping/rotating the front mount would cure that?

Since I discovered them I have used nothing else. Light, nice finish, and they make scope mounting easy. :-)
