I've learned alot on here and appreciate all the advice everyone has given me. Heres my first savage project. I bought a 7mm 110 and put a custom barrel on it and a rifle basix trigger and new recoil lug. The stock was too flimsy so I figerglassed two lengths of 3/8 aluminum to each side. Its very stiff now and even with the 30" bull barrel it doesn't bend at all. I mounted a 20 moa base and Burris signature Z rings with a Sightron 6x24x50 scope. I needed a raised cheek piece in order to get a proper cheek weld so I just cut a piece out of the stock (this is an old all fiberglass stock) and bedded it up lags with the heads cut off. I used release agent on the lags so it pulls straight up in order to get the bolt out and it is such a tight fit I didn't install the screw hardware to hold it in place. I generously inletted the stock and bedded using Devcon and opened up the barrel channel for the bull barrel. Did nothing to the bolt as the 338 ultra mag and the 7mm use almost the same bolt face. Shoots pretty sweet but I only have about 10 rounds through it so far. Thanks guys!

Looks nice. I'm looking to convert a model 111 .300 WM to a .338 ultra. Is that a muscle brake?
