Year model look up on a model 14?

I have a Model 14 in a 7mm08 American classic. Looking to see if a year of manufacture can be done by serial # lookup?

Possibly on the Savage website under the partfinder. Enter serial number and it will give you manufacture date. Partfinder is down right now due to Savage being closed last week, but should be back tomorrow.

the part finder function is up but the date finder function still wont work.

The dating function on the Savage website has been a bit variable over the yrs, sometimes a date, other times date and time of the day as well!! (one of my savs was 'built on my birthday at 2pm!)

At the moment Savage may have disabled the date/year function...

If you post some of your serial, I'm sure you can get the info here.....
