View Full Version : Mark I/II/93R: What does your Mk II muzzle crown look like?

The crown on my rifle looks like threads created by a too-fast feed of a lathe tool running too deeply. Worse, they are not concentric...more like a rough spiral in places.

Today on the range one of the men had the Landry signature series in green alligator finish. These Landry models sell for more than the plain-Jane FV SR, and I asked to look at the muzzle. That muzzle was mirror-smooth.

I'd like to know how other plain-model Mark II muzzles look.

The consensus we have reached after beating the muzzle crown topic to near death is that accuracy is not affected by it.
Hence, I would not worry about it

Thank you for the reply. I had searched and failed to find the dead horses. To my surprise, I have found my rifle to be accurate despite a crown that looks like a pattern for a broken corkscrew. Add me to the "doesn't matter" portion of the now even more beaten subject. :-)
