Like a snake load ??
Going swamping for hogs this weekend.

They are expensive and I have some bird shot and some 44 mag brass, bluedot etc.

Just not sure how to cap the end. I think most are crimped ends.

I have some 44 caliber wads I use with my black powder pistol.

They work MUCH better with #12 shot than with #8 or #9 (those will kill a snake but leave it "active" for a while - the #12 seems to make them just go limp instantly).

I either use the CCI/Speer shot cups you can load (blue plastic) or (better because the plastic cups sometimes don't open right and MUCH cheaper) use two crimp on style Hornady gas checks for cast bullets - seat one over the powder charge (cup side up), drop in your shot, seat one cup side down just below the case mouth, over the shot and crimp - works great in everything from 38 Specials to 45 Colts.

Speer manuals have it - don't know of anything on line. I just weigh the entire shot/cup charge and use starting data for the next heaviest bullet (always light for caliber). You aren't looking for velocity - the higher velocity you get the worse the pattern.

Have used CCI shot capsules for years....very effective. When I lived in AZ and did a lot of hunting in the desert, I had a Charter Arms .44 Special Bull Dog pretty much dedicated for their use.

I load them in 45 Colt and use a piece of heavy cardstock below and above. The overshot card just gets sealed off with a few drops of Elmer's glue.
