Recently purchased this rifle in .204 Ruger. I noticed a change in accuracy when adjusting action screws, some time slight, some times quite a difference. Looking at the pillars I noticed neither extended enough to contact the action bottom. I my first question; is this whats to be expected? They are recessed some 1/32 I can't imagine this is in any way considered pillar bedded but would like to hear from those much more familiar with savage.
Depending on answers, where can (slightly longer) pillars be purchased for this model.
