Hello all
My name is Chuck, and I'm happy to be here.
I have a single Savage rifle...a 12 LRPV in 223 Rem. I bought the rifle used a few months back and I've been pretty happy with it. It's the most accurate rifle that I have, but it's also the only target rifle in my safe. I took it to a local BR match a few weeks back and won 1st place in my first ever BR competition (only 4 other shooters in my division). This was with a Zeiss 3-15x scope. I've since changed to a Sightron 10-60x that gets me a little more detail of the targets. I've been working on loads and I'm not sure I've found the magic sauce as of yet.
I want to try my hand at switching barrels and that's part of the reason for joining the group...to learn what I need to change bolt head and barrel. I'm leaning to a 6 PPC as my second barrel/bolt-head- I got put on the SSS list for timing/trigger/barrel work.
I have a dozen or so guns total about half of which are rifles. I've always been more interested in accurate rifles and I hope to get some other savage rifles down the line.
