Good Evening,

I've been trying to order a Model 12 Bench Rest rifle in 6mm Br from my local dealer for over a month. Every time I call or stop by I get the same answer that it is not available. Since then, I've also checked online, and many of the online dealers are out of stock also.

Are these rifles only produced at a certain time of the year, or are they a continuous run item? And, does anyone have any inside info as to when they will become available again? I went to the Savage site to see if I could email them for any info, but that service is no longer availabe either.

Thanks in advance for any info, Ken

Here easier than email 1 800 370-0708 ext.6 ask for Effie Sullivan if anyone can answer you it is her. If you don't get the answer you want she will be happy to take your order for a custom build one. The builds usually take 6-8 weeks.

That rifle has been out for well over a year, try a different dealer. (Like Northland, site sponsor.) Dealers buy from wholesalers like Jerry's, accu-sport, ETC. Some dealers only deal with one wholesaler, and that wholesaler may not ever purchase that rifle do to lake of sales.

IMO, you can build a better rifle for about the same money. Contact Sharp Shooters Supply, Sinarms, or Northland I am sure one of them could get it done.

I think Sporting Arms has one in stock. I belive they have 2 different ones, a wood stock and a HS precision model. I could be wrong. I am looking for one too but I would like the HS stock with RB/RP single shot 1-8 twist.

Totally agree. Building one now off of a dual port target action with shilen barrel in 6br for the cost of the savage.
