I found a stainless 300wm barrel locally that was purchased from Numrich. The guy who has it said it hasn't been shot so he can't verify how it shoots. I have found a few mixed reviews from several years back on these barrels but nothing recent. Was wondering who has or is using one of these barrels and if the barrel would be worth taking a chance and buying.

Is that a Savage factory barrel?

I have a .270 that was originally purchased from Numrich. Turned out to be a good pipe.

I used a stainless small shank .300 Win Mag barrel (Numrich #1252010, Barrel, Heavy Sporter, .300 Win Mag, 26", Stainless, 1.050" Dia. Threads) for my magnum Axis build. It was a bit dirty, but it shot very well.

Yes it is a Savage factory unmarked barrel.

Sounds like the one I bought. It has no markings but advertised as Savage mfg.
I'm pretty happy with it. Shoots real tight with my reloads. Slightly fatter than a regular sporter.

As far a quality, I felt it worth the money - I happened to get mine from a member here. He was selling it due to going a different direction with a project rifle. It just so happened I was looking to buy one for a designated hunting rifle.

I guess I will try and get ahold of him and see if he still has it.
