Ok, I am wanting a .300 BO, 7 twist, moly or stainless, does not matter, small shank threaded, with a muzzle threaded with thread protector. What is the best price from Vendors who are on this board, as I want to patronize them. What luck success have you guys had, am I off on the twist? I shot one recently, Ruger American ranch, shooting machine, golf ball size groups at 200yds, with 125-200gr slugs. I want one for a Savage, because I have a safe full of them, and a switch barrel with .223 and .204 already set up, just need a the BO barrel. All feedback and pms appreciated!

Apache Gun WOrks is my go-to guy for barrels these days. He has a great reputation for work and his prices are incredible. Has a great story, too. Check him out: http://apachegunworks.com/

Apache Jim also known as G-Pipe is good to deal with if you can get in.

I have a McGowen 300BO barrel and it does fine for hunting with subsonic suppressed. I don't know if you need a 1:7 twist to go up to 200 grs. I have a 1:8 twist and I use Hornady 208gr Amax loaded subsonic.

I bought mine from a vendor on 300blktalk...Gun Shack has them in stock and ready to ship.
