Hello,
I'm a new member from Santa Cruz, CA. I'm in the middle of doing some (mostly cosmetic) work to a newer Savage 110 270win. It is a wood stocked xp package gun. So far I have swapped out the rings to Burris signature Z rings and put on a Leupold VX2 scope. This week I received the new bottom metal and trigger guard from Savage and swapped that out so no more plastic on the rifle. I should have just bought the 114 to begin with.
Next I am thinking about getting a nicer walnut stock and sending it out to be either cerakoted or duracoated to better deal with the salt environment here on the coast. The thing shoots! First Savage rifle and am really pleased with how accurate it is. I am either going to sell the XP wood stock or maybe hang onto it so that if I go on any hunts in real thick brush I'll have a beater stock that I don't worry about scratching.
I'm getting a Savage 17hmr pretty soon too.
