Does anyone load plinkers in 308?

How low do you want to go? With med weight bullets, H4895 will get you down to 2500 fps. SR4759 will get you down to 1800 fps, and Trailboss will get you to 1100 fps.

The lyman and speer manual should have the loads you seek.

Look at the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook, it lists many good loads for the 308.

110 gr Vmax's, Sierra's or Barnes, and 30 grains of H4895, fun for the whole family.
