Hi All,
I am new here, but been around firearms all my life. Retired Chief Gunners Mate USCG. Avid shooter, love my Savages. Just picked up a Mod 12 BVSS and can't wait to get it out to the range. I have been around, but no expert at anything. I have been reading here for a few days and already learned alot. Looking to get into long range shooting with my mod 12 in 308 (sorry but it's my fav and I re-load it). I know there are better choices for long range, but I also hunt and all my rifles are now 308.
I am planning to outfit my BVSS with a Lucid L5 6-24 x 50mm Scope (already have scope) and bipod, rear bag setup. Any suggestions from going past 200yds would be helpful. My Wife and Son shoot 308 rifles as well and are pretty good shooters. We are looking for longer ranges to try out this summer.
