Hey guys my name is Parks. Ive been reading on here and several other forums as a guest researching a build. My build is just getting in motion starting yesterday so i figured i'd go ahead and join.

Im and avid deer and duck hunter and have some experience playing with and modifying ARs, Glocks, and 1911s but this will be my first rifle build. I have a Savage 110 30-06 on the way for a donor action for my .300 win mag build. So far i have a new bolt knob coming along with a magnum bolt face, hopefully soon ill have a criterion barrel and some other goodies on the way.

Im looking forward to learning more from y'all and i will start a build thread once it really gets rolling.

Welcome to the addiction.

As I type this I toggle back and forth looking for the cheapest airline tickets to get back home next week to see my folks down around Lake Marion. Who knows maybe we can all get together for a cup of coffee and pop some primers someday.

I was commenting on another new join from SC a few days ago that if many more of us sandlappers show up we'll be able to have a hostile take over... was starting to look in the local bass pro and gander mountain ads thinking there must be a fire sale on savages in the area with all the new savage owners from SC showing up. Much to my chagrin, however, no such sale materialized...

That is because the sales do not start until after you buy one....

Welcome to the sight. I to am just above Spartanburg. I also am starting a build. 243 to a 260 Rem. It's started as a simple rebarreling but you know how that goes. New trigger, new stock. And it's the wife's gun. I may need therapy or range time.
