I didn't want to wait or pay more for aftermarket stocks from the vendors that I found. So, I found I website that
offered pillar bedded Savage stocks. Both stocks are blind mag. First pic is of my 308. I had to do a little inlet work on it for around the safety and bolt release, but that was maybe a total of 10 minutes. Stock was $60 with shipping.

This pic is of my 30-06 that picked up off of gunbroker for $204. The stock was a drop in fit, love the finish on it, has the ebony tip.
The trigger guard is on its way. The plastic doesn't fit the hole. This stock was $85 with shipping.

I love these stocks...I searched Numrich and had too many returns with unclear descriptions to find them...what did you put in the search engine to find these?

Thanks,

Jerry

That should take you right to the stock page, then click on savage

this link is for savage rifles, they are on the left.
Just search through the different variations, easier if you set it to display 100 items at a time after click on say model 116
sorry it took me so long to respond

Pc, were your 2 stevens rifles the older 4.2 spacing staggered fed or the new design with the 4.4 spacing and center fed?
