I am more tha likely going to build an AR in 22x6.8 with a black hole barrel. Looks like a simple wildcat, but checking to see if anyone here may have some experience or advice with this round.

I thought about it and 6x6.8 and 6.5x6.8 but so far have stuck to the 6.8.

GLSHOOTER does so maybe he will see this thread and reply with some of his knowledge.

I've been shooting it for about two years having helped develop it for BHW. It is a shooter from 50's on up to 77's. I haven't shot the 40's. Velocities run 3750 with a 50 and that's hot but case life is good. The down range effects on PD's unbelievable. Making cases is done with a Redding Type S FL 6.8 bushing die. It is a no turn neck chamber. Reliability in my AR's has been 100%. I do recommend an adjustable gas block. We have done pressure testing and have a good idea on sane pressures.

I have read all of GLshooter's information already. I just recently picked up a 6.8 upper and really like the cartridge. I originally wanted an Olympic in 22-250 but when I saw magazines cost $100-125 each I began to look for other options. This guns main purpose will be for prairie dogs.

There are some 20's out there too. The 20X6.8 and 20 LBC are both smokers if you want to get even more exotic. .

I have a BHW 22/6.8, still in load development stages. Heavy stainless, target crown, unthreaded. So far it seems to be super accurate. Will know more in a couple of weeks.
