I heard this mentioned on this forum but I cannot find any information on the Savage home page. Can anyone provide me with a link for more information.

They don't offer that program anymore. Now they treat you like "you bought the POS, deal with it". I just went through it with them.

Thanks for the reply RP12. What a shame. I have always had good luck with Savage firearms. Affordable, sound and accurate. I own several. The B mag is the only Savage firearm I own that is less than what was expected.

Same here. I thought Savage would step up to the plate on this one. They did at first, but it must be hurting their bottom line to hard for them to care about their customers at this point.

What was the "fix" they did for $50? I dont own a bmag but plan on the new SS hb version

Two of the last three Savage rifles I have bought have been sent back to Savage within days of purchase. One was a B-mag and the other was a A-17 which they still have. They have lost a lot of my respect.

The $50.00 up grade was replacing your original standard barrel B Mag with a heavy barrel B Mag . A big plus for most owners who did it . Two of my friends took advantage of it and it was well worth the wait involved . Accuracy remains the same when the barrel heats up due to the heavier barrel .
