So,was wanting something to shoot at the local indoor range and first thought about a BuckMark or other 22LR pistol. Then decided it made more sense to get a little rifle practice in so looking at one of the Savage bolt 22LR rifles (can't bring myself to spend the $ for a CZ). Want to stay below $300, so would like to hear from you guys shooting the Mark II BV or other 22LR. Not sure about trying the CMP Rimfire Sporter Rifle, but maybe, would like to be able to shoot off-hand since the local outdoor range is really set up for pistol (why I thought about the pistol). Plus side of the 22LR is it cost less to shoot, so can grab some good ammo, shoot when to lazy to do some loads for the 20 Tac or 223 ::) and still have some trigger time.

Thanks in advance

I have a Mark II BV and mine's a great shooter too. With some cheap bulk ammo mine doesn't quite shoot as tight as groups as the picture above. More about the size of the dime. However, put some target ammo in it and its right there. The MKII BV come's with bases installed but no open sights.
