Thus far it is not an issue here in the desert portion of my state(Yes there is a desert, not all trees and hippies)
I bought it because it was cheap, so bought-in about 18# of 1 lot. As far as non-anecdotal evidence, we did a bunch of rapid fire and chamber-soak tests. Very similar, but slightly more stable than H4350 when we tested it in the Creed.

Again, temp sensitivity is tied to what things were designed for, or are similar to. The Creed works VERY well with powders that the 30-06 likes, and that is what Superformance was built for; What I don't know is which bullet weight, but suspect it was the 150-class stuff.

thanks ill pick some up and give it a try.

I use H100-V with the 123 A-Max in my 260 Striker. I'm getting 2780 fps from my 19" barrel with a moderate charge. It shoots great and it's my go to load to shoot that barrel out to our 1384 yard target rock.

I'm out now shooting the RL-17 loads...nothing impressive yet except that my chrony is acting up...43g was 3724 and now 44g is 2904 to 3010.

My results have always been very hit or miss with R17. I have had great results in smaller cases with it like the .22-250 with heavy bullets and the .250 Savage with 115s. .260 6.5-284 and .308 have always been so so for me with R17 and not consistent from day to day. H4350 is where I always end back up with the .260 or Creed but I only shoot 140gr bullets. H4831 has always worked pretty for me too.

Well nothing to write home about with the RL-17 and the 123s and hit pressue and 44.5g and at 45g had a little seepage around 2 primers but this was some of the nosler brass i was abusing awile back. There wasnt any tight enough groups to make me chase the 17 anymore.

Im not sure but i think maybe my chrony was to close and picking up some of the muzzle blast....i moved it back 2ft and it seemed to be back to normal...funny
thing is ive shot in the same place for years and never had this issue.

I did go back out and shot some 100V and was pretty impressed with the ES's i was getting and the speed....this time i shot some lapua brass but the shoulders were from 1.619 to 1.622 and the chamber is 1.624 so im sure when i get this brass formed to this chamber that the ES's will drop and accuracy will improve.....

43g gave me 3027 to 3039FPS
45g gave me 3155 to 3178FPS with no obvious sighs of pressue...ill run this up a bit more and see if the groups tighten up
44.5g gave me 3111 to 3128FPS and was the best group...2" counting the shot i pulled...just under 1" minus the pulled shot
44g was the worst ES at 3064 to 3099 but ill blame part of it on brass.

None of the groups were bad considering with my scope on 11x it was like looking through a water fall...we have had rain the last few days and today was about 75 so humidity adding to the mirage. Ill play a little more with the 100V but i dont think im going to get 3200FPS and accuracy plus the 4350 is going to be hard to beat as far as accuracy goes...i had 10 rounds left from the match and shot all 10 this morning first thing as fast as i could and all 10 were in a 1.5" group but were right at 80-85FPS slower than what i clocked them at on friday.

You might try 48gr(ish) of H4831SC...it will be slightly compressed...

thanks Boiler...i burnt up 4lbs of H4831sc and just can not get the velocity out of it in lapua brass...i think the fastest with 140s was 2750 or so and the was compressed...very accurate but no speed.

Stay with H4350

im going to try but its hard to find still and every place is jackin the price...cabelas had some 8lbers for $225+ shipping and hazmat= about $275....H4350 is like gold LOL....i can get 100V local for $150 per 8lbs and 5lb RL-17 for $120...i just cant pay close to $300 bucks for powders when i can get other powders that work just as well.

i just picked up some 107g SMKs today to play with this weekend if its not raining...im just curious more than anything about how fast i can make the 107s go and how well they shoot at longer ranges....plus trying all these lighter bullets is going to help me decide how to chamber my next barrel....so far its looking like im going to chamber around the 123g class bullets.i was looking at the 123g lapuas and they claim a 527 bc but im liking the 123g Amaxes.

anyone want to take a guess on how fast these are going to go LOL!!

I would chamber it for 142 smk or 140 Bergers
Shot the 142 @ 1000 yards today .. 4" got lucky i think.

the barrel i just replaced on my other 260 is chambered for the heavier bullets....COAL off the ogive touching the lands measurements are
140g hornady = 2.395
139g lapua = 2.408
142g SMK = 2.386
140g berger VLD = 2.365

and i agree the 142g SMK make 1000yds so easy ray charles could do it LOL.

I see. I love 123 scenars out to 400\500 yards after that 142s .
Did not play with 107s much let us no how they shot for you.

will do...im just playing around with the lighter bullets to see how they preform...the barrel im shooting them out of has 2900 through it now so maybe another 4-600 and accuracy will start to drop off so it will be time for a barrel soon.

Has anyone tried the 123gr SSTs? I have some test loads for my mdl 16 loaded but haven't shot any yet.
