111 30.06 to .243

I have a 111 30.06 with internal centerfeed magazine. I would like to rebarrel it to .243 with chamber for the long Berger hybrids or VLDs. Would the 243 cartridge case feed from the 30.06 magazine as it is or would the magazine need tweaking?

It will normally feed without tweaking the magazine.
