I have a new Hog Hunter. In zeroing my iron sights, the blade on the rear sight has to be adjusted all the way to the right to get it on target. Everything appears to be centered on the rifle. But bore sighting it, the irons are way right - but it's dead on target @ 25, 50, and 100 yards. Anyone ever had this happen or heard of it? Suggestions?

Somebody else here said his 10FCP SR was shoot super left and his scope was maxed out and he still couldnt get it on target. He sent it to Savage and they are re barreling it apparently. I would call Savage, I guess their customer support is great.

Loosen the barrel and index the barrel slightly into the direction you moved the sight. Just a smidgen.

In rotating, remember .004 is about 28 degrees rotation

....and, 15 degrees is about .002. I like your math PD.

Honestly I'd try drifting the front site, or send it in over rotating.

I did a front sight removal recently and it was snug to say the least. Made me wish I had a sight pusher.

just out of curiosity what exactly do you mean by indexing the barrel and how is the barrel loosened? (dont have a center fire savage yet just rimfire in which if I am correct the barrels are pinned in permanently.

Got Laurie from customer service and she's having UPS come by my house to pick up the rifle so they can get it right. Don't know what the turn around time will be, but I am more than pleased with Savage customer service so far.....
