I have a 116 SF action and a B&C Medalist stock. I noticed when tightening the rear screw without the front screw in place the action will tilt up at the fore grip.
I do not notice anything when the front screw is tightened first.
Is this normal or does it mean the bedding is not stress free?
I should mention that I trimmed away any stock material that prevented aluminum bedding block to action contact and then skim bedded it. It did not change this condition.

Your mag box might be hitting the stock causing a pivot point. Might be worth a look.

Check recoil lug for side & bottom clearance.

That is normal for any stock. The cut away on the rear pillar will account for this......nothing to lose any sleep about.

Kind of what I was thinking. My factory laminate does the same thing.
Neither of the above conditions exist on the stocks.
Thanks SS.
