I just shot some of Midway Usa's re packaged bullets. They were the Hornady 155gr match FMJ. Earlier, I had picked up a double handful of old filthy LC74 brass on the range, cleaned, FL sized, trimmed and reamed pimer crimps. Loaded with a conservative charge of 40.9gr of H335 for about 2700fps (guess), and Federal Match primers. Seated at .010 off the lands. All I was attempting was to fireform these cases to my old FP's chamber as I was intending to neck size after and was VERY pleasantly surprised with the results. I shot 5 5 shot groups and virtually all were between 1/4 and 3/8" at 100M ! This was the first load with these bullets and basically pulled out of my a-- Needless to say, I will have no problem buying blemished bullets in the future. Today I ordered two boxes of blemished Nosler Custom Competition 155's from the Nosler site @ $19 per 100. I hope they shoot as well as the Hornady ones did. I'm almost scared to fiddle with this load as it seems ****ed near perfect as is, but I've never payed attn to that saying if it aint broke don't fix it.

I did the same thing but with 150gr fmj. Bought 500 dirt cheap and my jaw dropped with results. You hit pay dirt!

I'm sure you guys already know about this, but for those who don't, here's where Nosler sells their over runs and blemished stuff. Sierra and Hornady only sell blemished at the factory as a walk in. Midway must've cut a deal with Hornady. I just ordered 200 of the Nosler 155 gr Custom Competition bullets for under $20 per hundred.. Since the only person I shoot competitively against is myself, I'll live with a few spots on the bullets. Most all are clean as a whistle..
