My cousin hunt hogs in the woods on the ground only with a 22LR, but he is one of those guys that can
ricochet shoot IE Uncle Jed style.

My step-dad used to hunt hogs with a 22lr, however he told me if he was about to take a shot, he would be standing under a tree, in case he had to escape from a pissed off hog.

I suppose that one bit the dust, but I personally won't use one. I posted a story on here quite a long time ago about using my 243 on a 250lb hog. Small hogs are completely different than big ones!

Me and my 10 year old son have shot many a hog with a ruger 10/22. Most were head shots at about 40 yards from a tree stand. Dropped them like a terd from a tall horse.
