Magbox removal?

Hi guys!
I have got myself a Savage 110LH the old sidebutton magrelese model.
im going to put it in a targetstock and i wonder how to remove the magbox from the action without destroying it :)
Also do you guys know hoiw to find out the mfg date serialnr is D798447

I think your gun is 1980's quite possibly. I have used a c clamp to compress the box enough to spring it out. I have also just knocked them out with a rubber mallet doing it carefully so it doesn't get ruined.
