Change new Savage 10t to a 6.5 Creed?

I purchased this rifle in January and have not shot one round through it. I am contemplating doing a barrel swap and turning it into a 6.5 creed. Just not sure if I should do that or just go and get a new 6.5? My issue with that is I am not sure how much I will use a 308 once I get the 6.5!
