Armalite AR-10 barrel?

Searching for an Armalite AR-10 barrel source. I found one called Accurate Shooter, or something like that, however they want $700 for a barrel. There are plenty of DPMS styles out there but no luck on the Armalite. This would be for a 26" 243 bull barrel.

I thought DPMS and Armalite patterns used the same barrel extension and only the barrel nuts were different.

I am not sure the AR barrel thing is new territory for me.

This page (http://308ar.com/compatibility.htm) seems to indicate the barrels (specifically the extensions) are cross compatible so long as a corresponding pattern bolt and carrier are used. It has been a while since I built my DPMS-pattern .308 AR, so I'm a little rustier than I thought.

Apache gunworks will make them in either pattern.

I am 99% on if you use a DPMS barrel on an Armalite you will need a dpms pattern gas block and gas tube. The reason being the armalite gas port is in a different location and the gas tube is longer. This makes the use of the DPMS block and tube critical.
