Found this site after learning about a RemSavage on another site, so of course I ordered a barrel and stripped down a Rem 700, I have a few, but while looking into barrel swapping I became convinced I should look into what Savage has to offer. I have been mostly 700 minded for the last 20 years, so this will be interesting, biggest question I have is about model designation as I will be looking to pick up a Savage to play with, but I'm sure I can pick up what I need to know from reading this sites forums, seems like a real knowledgeable group here so I think I found the right place, I won't offer much comments but you can be sure I'll be "taking it in" thanks for having me, now I'm off to find where to become a paid member!

Welcome aboard! Figuring out the models is easy enough; and you are right... there are plenty of expert folks on here who can provide a TON of help... working on my first full build right now and wouldn't be possible without input and know-how from folks on the boards.
