I finally got around to installing a ptg long action bolt head I bought used recently and noticed it is different from the factory bolt. The lugs are longer front to back and the shank shorter. I assembled it and everything checks out on firing pin depth/protrusion. The bbl had to be unscrewed and re headspaced for the longer bolt lugs but everything appears fine. Is this normal for ptg bolts? I checked the dimension on ptg website and some were off on the shank length. I called ptg and they were not sure but said to send it in and they would check it. just thought I would check here first.
