Just finished this new build,,Savage PTA, Savage Barrel-1:7tw, 26" Fluted, Joel Russo Manners T-2 Copy Stock,, Rutland Brown Laminate, 4 coats of auto clear, EGW Base, Burris Signature Rings, Mueller 8x32x44 w/Target Dot. Timney Trigger.

Joel is a great guy and does amazing work. We have collaborated on a few projects and we have sent each other choice pieces of wood occasionally. The curly maple stocks on his page were done out of wood I sent him actually. He did me a cherry stock a while back. I sent him the wood and he inletted it for me. He does impeccable work, plain and simple. Whether it is laminate or funky figured exotic stuff.

On a side note, from what I understand, Rutland Plywood burned to the ground and they are not rebuilding! Everything is being made up in Maine now by a company called Cousineau Wood Products. Needless to say, they are busy!!
