I'm looking at purchasing a rifle but the info from the guy is not to informative. He said its a model 10 bull barrel 308. He said they called it the police sniper model. The barrel measures 23" from action to muzzle. From my research I haven't found anything that has bull barrel and iron sights other then a hog hunter but this rifle has no threaded muzzle. Here are the pictures he sent me.http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/ab74/careychristopher41/Mobile%20Uploads/11144846_513276595477120_584987395_o_zpsfjimketw.j pg (http://s851.photobucket.com/user/careychristopher41/media/Mobile%20Uploads/11144846_513276595477120_584987395_o_zpsfjimketw.j pg.html)http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/ab74/careychristopher41/Mobile%20Uploads/11141702_513276665477113_1725100207_o_zpsxi22pfzi. jpg (http://s851.photobucket.com/user/careychristopher41/media/Mobile%20Uploads/11141702_513276665477113_1725100207_o_zpsxi22pfzi. jpg.html)http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/ab74/careychristopher41/Mobile%20Uploads/11157084_513278098810303_732910739_o_zpst6xm5l65.j pg (http://s851.photobucket.com/user/careychristopher41/media/Mobile%20Uploads/11157084_513278098810303_732910739_o_zpst6xm5l65.j pg.html)

It looks like this,

But someone has changes the rail and rear sight. Maybe it is an older version.

It's definetly an older model. The flat rear action designates it a 4.27 SF action.
I can't tell you much about the iron sights other than they generally can be removed fairly easy.

That's what they called the "Cruiser" model.

Thanks guys. I thought possibly scout as well. From what I saw its in very good shape. Only had 100 rounds through it. He's asking $400 for it

I thought 10FP at first glance. Cruiser?

If you have the serial number, run it through the Savage Parts Finder. It will tell you exactly what model it is.
